みんなあげちゃう (pronounced Min'na Age Chau and literally meaning "I'll give everyone") is the relatively forgotten I Give My All 1987 OVA we'll review today. .Based upon the popular erotic manga created in 1982 by Hiraku Yuzuki. Like most Anime released on VHS format during the early 90s, consumers of such entertainment were used to the "dark, gritty & not kids stuff" label. The problem is a group of moral police took an interest in some of the Japanese exports their innocent kids were buying. These were the same people that fought a war against American cartoons for being only focused on selling toys. Then, they later decided all the cool things were Satanic, so they started a war against that too. I Give My All, the 1987 OVA adaptation, was set to be released by Central Media Park. However, that never happened due to the concerned American parents. But, connoisseurs knew how to quench their depraved Animé thirst anyway.

35 years later, all you can do is laugh, because I Give My All is nothing compared to, say Genocyber and Urotsukidōji. Both from around the same time and widely available in any video rental store around the world. I heard stories of people finding Hentai OVAs in the children section on their local stores. Of course, the store owners didn't know Japanese, or were misled by the artwork in the covers, and thought "This looks like a cartoon, so place them under the children section". Anyway, this moral battle against satanic entertainment ended long ago, and at one click of distance you can watch far worse depraved hentai than today's comedy in review.

So, what is I Give My All about?

Yuno Mamiya is a wealthy Japanese teenage girl that has never had sex before. She is willing to have a boyfriend, lose her virginity and grow up while spitting or swallowing (LOL). She then feels sorry/attracted for Rokuro Chikanaka the lonely jizzlobber she spies on, and decides he's the perfect candidate for her desire. They become a couple and move in together, and everything is going great until her grandmother arrives and forbids the relationship, sending the loser away for good. Of course, love will conquer all in the end.

In a nutshell, this is just another weird romance story that goes in a couple of bizarre directions, and has a few low-key sexy scenes, but is by no means the sexually Satanic product that would brainwash your kid into hell. It obviously isn't for younger kids though. Worse content is available on Cable TV though. I always have fun whenever I discuss the concept of "Satanic media" with my younger siblings. They weren't born in the age of moral driven parents and politicians that wanted to label "Satanic" any form of entertainment they didn't understand. They even blamed Marylin Manson's music for the Columbine shooting in 1999. They even thought bad words (the parental advisory logo on music albums) would turn your children into serial killers or hardcore drug addicts. Central Media Park certainly lost the battle and decided not to publish the OVA. Legend has it, Sony Japan designed a packaging that would come with paper pink panties.

Being an OVA based on a 19 volume manga, you can infer that a lot of the story has been removed. The story moves so fast that it almost makes no sense. To summarize: we basically find out that Rokuro Chikanaka is a loner student who lives in a stereotyped bachelor pad. His love interest Yuno Mamiya watches him masturbate, and rather than being disgusted she is sad that he has to do it on his own. Then, she decides he's the perfect match to lose her virginity and decides to move to his apartment, spend a lot of time naked and masturbating, while trying to convince him to fuck her until she cums.

Obviously, character development is nearly impossible in 45 minutes. The next thing you know, Yuno belongs to a rich family, has weird parents that hire servants like a BDSM instructor in the basement, The family Matriarch shows up and kicks Rokuro out, and even resorts to eventually sending a private military force after him. This all happens in the above mentioned 45 minutes! I would have liked more breathing room, but I guess if I had read the entire Manga, the experience would have been enhanced by my expanded knowledge about the characters.

The film was directed by Osamu Uemura, who's known for his directorial work on Urusei Yatsura which explain why the jokes and comedic tone of the OVA work so well. This isn't easy to achieve. There are many Ecchi OVAs (check our previous posts) that are a complete waste of time because they're extremely boring and feature the worse toilet humor you can think of. Here on the other hand, the comedy works so well, you can totally accept the quick plot development and forget about character grow, because you're having fun while everything untangles until the climax. Speaking of climax, the final scene has to be seen to be believed. Yuno's grandma is so obsessed with preventing the romance, that she has no trouble hiring a whole set of soldiers with machine guns, tanks and helicopters included.To add to the comedic tone, Yuno & Rokuro decide to fuck inside a tank in the middle of this mini war, and this leads to the final joke: penis captivus.

The only complain the viewer may have, is the fact that characters are underdeveloped and in the case of Yuno, extremely based upon 14 year old male fantasy: Yuno's only purpose is to be fuck as quickly as possible by her guy of interest. Since the beginning of the OVA is pretty clear she wants to save Rokuro from masturbation, and so she's willing to live with him. She doesn't stop there though. She cooks, she cleans, masturbates in front of him, and as you can guess by now, she's always wet and horny, ready to satisfy her man anytime and as many times as possible. However, this is an Ecchi production, so it kinda makes sense to have female characters like this. Let's not forget Yuno's mother behaves just like she does, so monkey see, monkey do. Sex and being horny all the time is part of the family!

Production wise, I'd say I Give My All delivers a satisfying visual experience. The animation style is 80s enough. Haircuts, colors, backgrounds and even vehicles all look excellent. Tadashi Tsukasa & Geki Katsumata were animation & art directors respectively. Katsumata has an extended and varied CV: He's worked on Kujira No Josephina, Zukkoke Knight: Don De La Mancha, Choujuu Kishin Dancougar, Ginga Tetsudou 999, The Humanoid, Birth, Violence Jack & Yamato Yo Towa Ni just to name a few! The OVA was produced by Movic (Bokuto No Hero, Kill La Kill, The End Of Evangelion, Vampire Hunter D) & Shueisha (Death Note, Naruto, One Punch Man) So the animation quality is certified.

Overall, Min'na Age Chau (or Minna Agechau as fans call it) it's 45 minutes of fun combined with the craziest plot twists you could expect in such a short format. It's not a hentai production, it's only Ecchi so if you watch soap operas, it won't offend you at all.
