Today we continue our humble tribute to one of the hottest most under rated sexploitation starlets: Peggy Church. 

The Big Snatch is a 1971 sexploitation film starred by Peggy Church, Jane Tsentas & Uschi Degard. As the title already suggests, in this film we will see a lot of hairy, big "snatches" in action. Now, the meaning of the word "Snatch" comes second to "Cunt" as perhaps the most offensive way of referring to a girl's vagina. When someone talks about a "cunt" or a "snatch" it is mostly meaning a dirty & smelly vagina rather than a pristine fresh one. This film doesn't feature any "dirty" or "smelly" vagigis, on the contrary it features some stunning women you wish you had laying next to you in your bed for some Netflix and Chill, while in reality you're all about Netflix & Jill.

The Big Snatch in a nutshell is nothing but one of the many films based upon a kidnap that later ends up in rape in the weirdest way (all kidnapped girls seem to love fucking strangers! and they also offer little to no resistance at all!) This movie was directed by Dan Martin whom used the pseudonym "Ronnie Runningboard" in the credits because, at that time, he was a deputy sheriff with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department!!!!!!, which OBVIOUSLY did not look kindly upon its deputies making softcore porn flicks. 

Trashfilm legend David F. Friedman ("Blood Feast" etc.) says this film was made for a mere $11.000. No money or talent can't hide the fact that this flick is pretty sick and disturbing. Two low lives abduct some saucy chicks and abuse them for days even though it looks like the women are enjoyin' the rape!?! It also seems like it would be pretty easy for the women to escape from the isolated ranch. But in the end they've had enough and boob queen Uschi Digart ("Supervixens", "Getting Into Heaven" etc.) says; "Let's sock it to'em!" and the girls castrate one guy and shag the other to death! I ain't kiddin'. As Un-PC as you can get, so of course any sleaze junkie must possess this roughie from Something Weird!

Young Rene (Ginnie Kindall) is kidnapped off a playground swing set. Right after flying into town, lesbian Lillian (Tracy Handfuss) is forced at gun point into the back of a truck. Housewife Colette ("Barbara Que" / Uschi Digard) is out watering the lawn in broad daylight when she gets swiped right off her front yard. Innocent 18-year-old virgin Bernice ("Rita Book" / Peggy Church) is snacking on Lays (foreshadowing?) chips when she's snatched off the street. And finally, leggy blonde party girl Pamela ("Nancy Nice" / Jane Tsentas) is abducted immediately after leaving a bar. All five girls don't know it yet but they've all fallen into the clutches of whiny long-haired perv Bart. Bart, who's played by the butt ugly "Harry Chest," who incidentally has no hair on his chest, drives them out miles into the desert to his remote home and then gives them the scoop on what's going on. They're to be his sex slaves and obey his every wish. They're to call him "master" while he calls them "pig." They'll eat... when and if he wants them to. They're to stick to a strenuous exercise routine to keep in good shape. If any of them try to escape they've been warned that the grounds are surrounded by trained, savage dogs who will eat them alive. And if they disobey or are caught doing something they aren't supposed to do, the girls will have to whip the disobedient one.

Bart is assisted by his bigger and perhaps even uglier mute sidekick Momo (played by Momo), who carries around a piece of hose to whip the girls with. Bart even bosses poor Momo around and refuses to let any of the girls have sex with him, causing the frustrated Momo to try to rape whatever girl he can get his hands on. Because he found Pamela at a nightclub and she's wearing a short skirt, Bart decides to "rape" her first but she goes along with it simply because she'll do anything to survive. The girls are then taken to a drained out swimming pool and are forced to do in-place jogging, push ups, leg lifts and topless toe touches. One girl is forced to get on all fours and is used as a step stool. While Bart is having his way with Colette, the lesbian takes the virgin out into the brush and helps her "relax" by rubbing her shoulders and then going down on her. When it's time for the virgin to give it up, she refuses so Bart has her tied to a running truck motor to "steam your clam open" so that he'll have "one well-basted bird."

After being raped, beaten and tortured for nearly an hour, the girls finally decide they've had enough and decide to get revenge. One of the girls seduces Momo, the others hold him down and then castrate him with a pair of vise grip pliers (!) They then manage to get the upper hand on Bart and then decide to give him a taste of his own medicine by forcing him to go through everything they went through. He gets his dick squeezed with the pliers, is forced to dance and exercise naked and is then beat with the hose. for an encore the girls decide to "sock it to him night and day nonstop" (i.e. screw him) until he's dead. I've got to admit, I've never seen a man gang raped to death by five women before. Now I have. Thank you Big Snatch for enriching my life.

There are trashy movies and then there are movies so trashy the sleaze goes right through the roof into the stratosphere. This is one of *those* movies. It looks extremely cheap (not surprising since the budget was just 11 thousand dollars), has awful acting and photography and much of the time the "rapes" seem a little too enjoyable for the "victim," but this is amusing enough to pass the time, most of the females look good and there's a mean-spirited twist at the end that's kind of good. Everyone was so embarrassed by this they used fake names and the credits are hilarious. The cameraman is "Otto Focus," the sound was done by "Less Noise" and the grip was "Jim Nasium." Something Weird distribute this on DVD-R and it's certainly worth a gander if you like this kind of stuff.

Overall, The Big Snatch is one of the many borderline softcore flicks the 70's gave birth just because porn films weren't thought of as actual films. Coincidentally, the rated X censorship tag used to warn audiences of the content of a film, became a very effective marketing campaign for most of these films that everyone calls "Softcore" as in "a lot of full frontal nudity but either no real sex acts or no close ups of sucking, penetration, etc" Some people talk about "Soft Porn" but I strongly disagree with such term. Some Porn movies made for cable TV are usually edited to be broadcasted without what makes them a porno in the first place but, who fucking cares, this conversation is about The Big Snatch, not a lesson in vocabulary or boring marketing strategies made by grey corporate people.

Peggy Church's short lived filmography is a clear example of the sexploitation genre. Unlike most films in the genre, whenever Peggy Church was involved in a role you just knew you were about to witness some of the hottest films of the 70's. Although she acted in 10 films (some of them with her real name, some other with nicknames and even some uncredited work) Her career as a sex starlet is not to be forgotten. Her daring exploits allowed those who worked with her to produce borderline softcore films, or as I call them "horniest softcore ever" She never wasted a second whenever the subject of getting naked in front of a camera was brought up. In addition, she performed very realistic softcore scenes with the talent of a professional (masturbation, oral, penetration, you name it) A good example of her "talent" is The Pigkeeper's Daughter. In such 1975 flick she steals the show as horny cowgirl Moonbeam.

Today marks the final 2016 review in your humble SPAM Alternative cult films blog, and what could be better than a mouth melting Peggy Church film?  

The All American Girl,  is a 1972 film directed by Mark Haggard and obviously starred by Church. Funny, her surname is Church, was sex her religion, thus her body her church?

The film itself is a surprisingly erotic film that spotlights the stunning talents of Peggy Church, whose incredible body is the main reason for watching this movie. Her acting is barely standard, as is almost everyone else's in the film. Now, the plot is very simple and it works fair enough. Debbie has to do something while his boyfriend is away in Guatemala for four months. Her intentions are to keep herself a virgin until they get married but just before he leaves she gives him a handjob just so he doesn't forget her.

Later on, Debbie decides to go against her purity code and opens to a world of new sexual experiences. Her first target being the father of his 14 year old (yeah right!) neighbor. As above mentioned, the acting is not that bad for an early 70's skin-flick. No worse than some later Hardcore stuff you might see. I thought Peggy Church (Debbie) carried it off pretty well considering she is so young and obviously not an experienced performer and she has to be in practically every scene. From a standpoint of 30 years on, the plot , such as there is one, seems risible. But it does lead to some very erotic scenes. Seeing it recently I felt that the fact that it wasn't totally explicit made it even more erotic than I remembered it to be. The editing, lighting and in particular the photography are highly professional. The sound on the version I saw was not too good. As a showcase for the absolutely delicious Peggy Church you could not wish for better.

Now, the film isn't anywhere near gross. Although most people would say "these are shitty movies for wankers" If you do like Lion-O and ask for "sight beyond sight" you would see this film features interesting photography and that is one of the standing overall points of The All American Girl. Shots of oral sex, orgasm and facial/swallow scenes are all cleverly filmed and not shown like a porn movie would do. Even when Peggy is masturbating her male friends she's never shown actually doing it. There is a lot of titillation behind each scene and that works wonderful for this a sexploitation film, not a porn movie.

The supporting cast is just that, supporting cast. This film is all about Peggy Church and her travel from innocence to sexual awakening. This film is also known as Danish Flowers.

The music also plays an interesting part here. Composed and arranged by Don Dunn. Every love scene is accompanied by classical piano music making room for the idea of the beginning of the end of Debbie's innocence. There is no funky music in the likes of porn films here. 

Peggy Church's career as above mentioned in the first paragraph was filled with sexploitation daring exploits. However, The All American Girl is one of her finest contributions to the world of cult cinema. Her later entries would be as hot as this one but lacking in terms of plot and filming standards.

It has a few laughs, some of which are intentional, but basically it is a showcase for the visual eye candy named Peggy Church, who seems to only have appeared in a couple of other films such as this before vanishing from the movies forever. Our loss.

Since today I met the 20,000 visitors goal I thought it would be nice to please you with an extra movie review, this time for a real sexploitation classic which has been out of print for quite a while, and if you're lucky to find a DVD copy, it won't cost you less than $60 bucks which is a lot of money! Thank god we got the internet to reach a few hard to find items at the reach of our fingers.

The Pig Keeper's Daughter was originally released in 1972 and it was re-released in 2001 by the Something Weird Video company. The storyline is pretty simple and if you're looking for a true sexploitation example well this is it.

Please try to answer this humble question what is a teen cutie that lives on a pig farm to do? Why have some sort of sexual liason with every man she encounters of course! She is not the only one busy with liasons - there are the girl that lives on the farm nearby, some annoying salesman that wants to shag anything he comes across (even a man tied and mugged!), a fifteen year-old (looking like twenty-some years old) hitchhiker, and, of course, the wife of the pigkeeper and mother of Moonbeam, the voluptuous pigkeeper's daughter. This film is really nothing more than a string of sex scenes strung together with little purpose, rhyme, or reason. The plot is so threadbare that it comes apart to nothing shortly into the film, only to be tried and saved in the last minute of the film ,but that's not saying this film  sucks ,cause it's a sexploitation movie, so the little plot and the acting itself are not something to be worried about, it's a movie about people having sex and if you're ok with it, you will definitely like it.

If you are looking for comedy, forget it as nothing is very funny. The opening number is intriguing but the music played throughout each "liason" is exactly the same and begins to get on your nerves quickly. The women are fine figures of pulchritude, bursting out of what garments they do wear.The Pigkeeper's Daughter has qualities more closely associated with porn: Wretched acting, a mere hint of a plot and even less of a script, and lots of extended sex scenes (which are pretty explicit for a softie). Terry Gibson (in the title role) and Patty Smith (a.k.a. Peggy Church) are about the only people anyone would want to see have sex. There's a surprising amount of male nudity. And what happened to the "actress" playing Gibson's mama? Her breasts look chafed and there's a horrible bruise across her lower back. Was she beaten into taking this role? (This might explain her performance.)

Overall the movie is just mean for exploitation genre connoisseurs, specially for sexploitation fans. I liked the film because it did deliver what was offering from the very beginning, so if you know what I mean you won't be dissapointed.
