Today’s entry brings us back into the exploitation genre we love so much, so the yesterday’ porn spoof exception was just that, a mere exception you wankers!

The early 80’s continued the legend established by 70’s exploitation films but, in order to not become a knock off of the original knock off they added the 80’s teenagers element: the slumber parties, the school girls showering peeping tom guys, the 80's horrible pop music, the Arcade games growth, and of course the teenage sex fantasy.

My Tutor, isn’t the first attempt to deal with infatuations between a teacher and some of his/her students, despite that, the film itself feels as a pretty fresh story telling of being a teenager and fulfilling our strongest sexual fantasies, whether if it was with our girl next door, our best friend's sister or a Teacher. Watching this movie makes you feel as if you found yourself with pretty much the unintentional updated version of 1977’s The Teacher movie which had a bit darker murder elements in between but, for the most part it was about a beatiful teacher seducing one of her former students just like My Tutor is.

Believe it or not, My Tutor, was one of the most remarkable 80's films dealing with sex, sex & teenagers. The story is about a teenage boy's fantasy about having a sexual affair with a beautiful older woman (not as old as your granny though). Every so often you hear about this kind of thing  happening in real life, so there may even be a little more to the concept than pure masturbation fantasy.

Matt Lattanzi plays the lead role in the story. Lattanzi plays a young man named Bobby. He seems nice enough, but is really, really shy with women. He also has just flunked his final exam in French class, and will have to re-take it and do very well or Yale will not let him attend in the fall. Bobby really doesn't want to go to Yale. He'd rather study astronomy at UCLA. His father will hear nothing of astronomy, though! He hires a beautiful older woman to teach Bobby some French, but Bobby is understandably more interested in scoring than understanding the  meaning of phrases such as va te faire enculer.Gorgeous Caren Kaye plays French teacher Terry Green, AKA the tutor. She is a stunningly beautiful woman who shows us plenty of what she has to offer! The bulk of the film details her attempts to teach Bobby French, and his attempts to become her sex student rather than a French student, in the end they get to an agreement if you know what I mean.

The film has a few dumb subplots that go nowhere, just like most of teen sex flicks I guess, so that's not a flaw to consider. One subplot deals with Terry's idiotic ex-boyfriend trying to hook back up with her. Another deals with Bobby's mother and their domestic help pulling the wool over her eyes. Crispin Glover is pretty funny as Bobby's best friend who is frantically trying to get laid. (weren't we all back then?) My Tutor is very, very light on plot. It mostly exists to titillate the audience, but there's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing pretentious, and nary a serious moment in the entire romp, unless you count Bobby's wreck of his motor scooter later on.

The film is hurt by some really really awful 80's pop music I can't fucking stand. Also, the transfer looks a bit too dark in some scenes. Lattanzi takes his job seriously even knowing this film would end up in the B movies cemetery. His voice is a little high, but that fits this character pretty well. The film is filled with gobs of nudity and sexual situations. Take my word for it... you will get what you paid for in terms of tits and ass, no bushes though.
