The Dallas Connection

DVD cover.
The exploitation genre was always there, some state it started as early as movie making started, some other regognize the greatest exploitation era from mid 60's to early 80's, some others state it faded into obscurity and was replaced by porn movies that actually had some plot, but there was a guy who stood up and set his mind only into one precious thing: Bringing back good old exploitation movies. This guy was Mr. Andy Sidaris, a man who would pick the hottest centerfolds to make movies, oh and add them a little plot as well.

Filmed in 1993, The Dallas Connection, is pure exploitation and if you have met your way with Sidaris movies you will know there will  be bullets, explosions, tits, asses and softcore sex scenes plus other nude scenes that add no value to the storyline, and who cares?

Sidaris Formula, hot stuff.
Sidaris formula, explosions.
Sidaris formula. Blonde centerfolds.
Sidaris formula. Background details haha.
Sluts & guns.
Asian bad guy can't fail.
Girls & guns.
It's impossible to dislike anything from this movie, I mean the film has all the exploitation tricks such as the usual copious amount of yummy female nudity, funky gadgets, sizzling soft-core sex scenes, exotic across the globe locations, an amusing sense of goofy humor, and big splashy explosions.

Oh wait! there's more, there's a plot line about a team of assassins lead by the lethal, yet alluring Black Widow (Julie Strain) are determined to kill scientist Antonio Morales (Rodrigo Obregon), who has a computer chip for a new top security satellite. A trio of agents -- Chris Cannon (Bruce Penhall), Mark Austin (Mark Barriere), and token honey Samantha Maxx (Samantha Phillips) -- are assigned to protect Morales. Naturally, the gaggle of gorgeous gals who bare their delectable feminine wares with pleasing regularity is the main attraction and source of entertainment: Strain does a couple of scorching S&M-type numbers prior to killing two (lucky) dudes, Phillips looks positively smashing in her birthday suit while both the extremely busty Julie K. Smith and cute brunette Wendy Hamilton as hit babes Cobra and Scorpion further spice things up.

Alas, for the most part this picture strangely skimps on the action until the rousing conclusion, but that's a forgivable oversight. Besides, how can one not dig a movie in which the front for the assassins is working as strippers at a local rowdy cowboy bar? Both Mark Morris' glossy cinematography and Ron Di Iulio's snazzy'n'jazzy rocking score do the trick. Enjoyable junk.

Now, as a matter of scientific research I give you the resumes each of the main characters presented to Andy Sidaris secretary applying for the job of movie making. Waht do you think? woudl you hire them? I bet you would!
Samantha Phillips' Resume.
Julie Strain's Resume.
Julie Smith's Resume.
Wendy Hamilton's Resume.
To finish today's entry I give you as usual the movie trailer, plus two key to plot scenes.

Where can you find this flick? The film has been released on a 12 movie pack collection called "Girls, Guns & Strings" and it features the 12 greatest flicks made by Mr. Sidaris. Soon I'll be reviewing some more of these exploitation 90's classics.
